An important aspect of quality is the nature of how to measure and map it's relationships. Quality in it's polar structure is faced by quantity. Quantity is the underlying measurement of parts of a system that has gradually lost its qualitative aspects over time in favor of pure quantitative measurement.
The reason for quality cannot be measured is because it's not quantifiable but can instead be mapped. Therefor it's being aware of the quantifiable aspects and becoming aware of the qualify-able dimensions available.
This distinction is particularly helpful in digital media when creating content aimed at a prospective user, visitor or observer over digital media. Quality is mapped in our experience, quantity is measured by instruments.
